  • How much time do students spend on screens?
SGEDU is a STEM focused program teaching students essential 21st century skills not taught in school such as coding and video production. However, we recognize the importance of physical activity and screen breaks. So depending on the program you're registered for, screen time will be maximum 60% of the time and can even be as low as 20% of the time in "Make a Movie" or "Creative Comics Dojo". Email info@bnsbc.tv for further questions.
  • What do students do during screen breaks?
Depending on the program, the core curriculum may incorporate time away from screens, such as filming movies in "Make a Movie" or creating props in "Make a Movie", etc... All programs consist of a 30 minute lunch break, a 30 minute outdoor recess break, and 1 hour of gym games or swimming in the pool. Pool time is only available in certain locations.
  • Who is teaching SGEDU programs?
All SGEDU teachers are licensed educators with college degrees and at least 3 years minimum of experience in an education setting. All SGEDU teachers are also First Aid & CPR certified. All SGEDU administrators who visit all locations regularly have Special Education Certification and have at least 5 years of K-12 classroom experience. We provide the most competitive salaries and benefits in the industry to ensure we recruit the absolute best, most qualified teachers possible.
  • What is the staff to student ratio?
We aim to always have one staff member for every 10 students.
