Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in K-6 education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for students. This role involves working with children to support their academic, social, and emotional development through engaging and effective teaching strategies. We have available hours for teaching after school and during February, April, and Summer vacations.
After School: 2:20pm - 5:10pm
February Vacation: 2/17/2025 to 2/21/25 8:30am - 4:00pm
April Vacation: 4/21/2025 to 4/25/2025 8:30am - 4:00pm
Summer Vacation 7/7/2025 to 8/15/2025 8:30am - 4:00pm

Your children can enroll in the program you are teaching at no cost.
The curriculum we use provides videos and books that teach the content for you. No lesson planning or knowledge in the subject being taught is required. Just play the video or facilitate a group read-aloud to teach students. If you prefer to have agency and teach your way, we're flexible with that as well.
If you are unavailable after school hours, you can choose to work only during February, April, and Summer vacations.
Responsibilities
Be passionate about teaching STEAM enrichment courses such as coding in Scratch, Minecraft, video production, eSports, etc...
Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support as needed.
Employ behavior management techniques to promote positive behavior among students. Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other educators to support student development.
Participate in a two-hour training to learn how to use our proprietary teacher portal which includes curriculum materials for courses.
Job Type
Contract Pay: $22.00 - $40.00 per hour Expected hours: 3 – 38 per week
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field preferred.
A background in technology is highly desirable.
Experience working with students in some capacity such as in early intervention, daycare, preschool, after school, or special education settings is required.
Strong understanding of behavior management strategies and classroom dynamics.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with students, parents, and colleagues.
A passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering a love of learning in young children.
