Individuals who wish to keep their full-time job while not only, making some extra income on the side, but also doing it in a fulfilling career that helps change the lives of children during their most crucial years of development, SGEDU is the perfect place for you. All incoming SGEDU staff will go through a thorough training to ensure all staff feel prepared for each course. SGEDU Vacation Program Counselors help teach in-person courses at various schools in the Greater Boston Area. All course curricula is provided to you so you don't have to plan lessons unless you would like to. Each course will have anywhere from 10 to 20 students enrolled. You will be expected to show up at the job site 15 minutes before the class is scheduled to begin with all necessary equipment and software ready to be handed out to students. You will also be expected to drop off all necessary equipment to the school before classes start. There will be a designated storage spot on-site for drop-off. You will be expected to clean up the classroom exactly they way it was before you arrived and put all equipment back into storage at the end of each class. Applicants will need to get a CORI background check, get fingerprinted, and provide a receipt 2 weeks before classes start.
